oh the browsings we shall do... oh the excitement, oh the humanity, oh the Suessian reference in the title... it is finally here, the place you have all been waiting for, the place where you can dump all of those links and shorcuts and piles of files in your favorites and bookmarks folders... it is the one and only (at least until another one is found or created)
you know how you wander around the web, sometimes on a mission and sometimes aimlessly filling the bleary eyed time between the last important thing you just had to do and the next important thing you just have to do?... and how often do you find something you start enjoying (or learning) and think I wish I could share this and nobody is around (which is probably why you're wandering around the web in the first place)... well, browse alone no more... now you can share your web adventures with all of us by going Browsings and writing your own entry including the link to the website (or links to many websites) that moved you to want to share it... feel inspired?... let your muses speak... feel amused?... laugh out loud... feel upset?... tell us about it... feel intrigued, fascinated, turned on, jazzed up, or whatever?... we want to know... this seems to be turning into a commercial, huh?... well, I'm excited about Browsings and hope you will tell two friends who will tell two friends who will do that so on and so on thing and we will be able to enjoy lots of new links and fun and web stimulation (maybe find some new friends) by sharing our web experiences... post the web address to Browsings http://browsings.diaryland.com anywhere and everywhere you think anyone might see it... it's not just for DLanders, it's for anyone who broases the web and wants to share an opinion, feeling, thought, or just a link to a website... and I just thought of a rule I might have to make and enforce (oh no, the complications of administrating a public message board just raised an ugly head and licked me with a gross tongue and I am trying to be cute about it, huh?)... well, I thought about commercial sites... I don't want Browsings to turn into just another pile of SPAM and self-engrandizing pablum like this entry?... oh, but maybe this one time, right?... hopefully you're laughing to)... but seriously, maybe we need to post a rule about posting commercial sites that goes something like "please identify a commercial website as a commercial website in your entry or your entry may be modified, edited, or deleted... entries consisting of nothing but a link to a commercial site will be deleted (and possibly mocked mercilessly)... websites repeated more than once a month by the same diarist will be deleted unless they are part of a longer, more interesting entry... repeat offenders will be blocked"just a few simple threats that will hopefully discourage the egocentric from masturbating too often here in Browsings (I mean, it's ok in a personal diary to sell and beg and plead and whine and do whatever you want, but here we want lots of links, not lots of the same links, right?... so whatcha think?
